Product description
Saucepan, diameter 28 cm, capacity 6.7 L, made of cast iron, LAVA brand
Cast iron is a material that heats up slowly but, once warm, it retains heat very well for a long time. Cast iron cookware are suitable for most cooking techniques, be they frying, slow cooking or oven cooking.
Features:
The thickness of walls is 4 mm. On the inside, the product is coated with one layer of black enamel that facilitates the formation of a non-stick surface when cooking with grease.
The vitreous enamel, material used for the outer finishing of the LAVA cast iron cookware, is obtained by spraying glass powder at temperatures of 750 - 850°C. The glass powder adheres to the surface of the saucepan creating a protective layer that also helps to optimally distribute heat.
The lid is flat and has small protrusions on the inside, thus, ensuring that moisture is kept inside. Thanks to these characteristics, a "rain" effect develops inside the saucepan which intensifies the flavors and eases the cooking process.
The base is 5-mm thick and this makes possible for LAVA cookware to be usable on all types of hobs, including induction hobs.
The saucepan is not microwave safe.
