5-slot knife and scissors sharpener - Zokura

Knife sharpener fitted with 4 blade sharpening modules and a slot for sharpening scissors, Zokura brand.

Slots 1 and 2 are designed for standard/European knives and slots 3 and 4 for Asian knives.

Knife sharpening
Place the sharpener on a flat work surface. Hold the sharpener with one hand and the knife handle with the other. Insert the knife blade completely into the slot at a 90° angle to the sharpener. Apply gentle downward pressure on the blade as you run the knife through the sharpening slot from end to tip. This should take 5-7 repetitions depending on the knife blade.

The sharpener has five slots - pass the knife blade through each slot, starting with the coarse slot and ending with the fine slot.

Slot 1 and 3 - Carbide blades (Preparation) – Repair damaged edges and restore the shape of the cutting edge before actual sharpening.

Slot 2 and 4 - Diamond rods (Sharpening) – Sharpen the blade and restore its shape to a V-cut.

Slot 5 - Diamond rod - For sharpening scissors.

Scissor sharpening
Place the scissors in the appropriate slot, move the blade of the scissors from the end to near the handle and repeat the movement as many times as necessary, in one direction.

Care and storage
Clean the sharpener with a damp cloth or soft brush. Do not rinse with water.
