Thermometers are an extremely useful accessory when cooking large pieces of meat, but also in case of beef steaks when time and temperature are critical for a precise result, whether you like rare or medium rare or medium well. Digital thermometers accurately display temperature in degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit and are often equipped with other useful features such as timer or stopwatch, sound signal or magnets to attach them on the oven or refrigerator. The analog thermometer is a minimum investment and, depending on the model, can also display the recommended temperatures for certain types of meat.
Not every meat thermometer is also recommended for liquids.
