Grown in the shade of pepper trees, banana trees and nutmeg trees, India Plantation is considered one of best coffees from India. This Arabica is distinguished by its ample taste, mild acidity and distinctive flavour. Its rich taste is characterized by exotic flavours and notes of peppercorn, papaya and spices.

India is known for its diversity of spices, such as peppercorns, which are also evident in the taste of India Plantation coffee.

The variety retains the characteristics of the region from which it originates and is distinguished by its subtle, fruity flavours. The savoury and fruity notes and the minimal acidity are noticeable from the first tasting.

This is possible because, in India, coffee is planted together with other varieties of fruit and aromatic plants. Peppercorn, nutmeg, vanilla, oranges and bananas grow alongside the coffee trees, creating a special ecosystem.

More than 50 varieties of trees also grow here, providing the shade that coffee needs. These trees prevent erosion of the steep terrain, enrich the soil, protect the coffee trees from seasonal temperature variations and help increase the biodiversity of the area. India is thus the only country where coffee is grown exclusively in the shade of trees, under a natural shelter.
