N°10 pocket knife, in the "Effilé" range, made of stainless steel, 10 cm long blade, Opinel brand.

The N°10 knife comes with an elegant sheath for protection and transport, both packed in a wooden box. A special gift set for nature and cooking enthusiasts!

This knife features a slim and extremely sharp blade and the safety ring allows the user to use it without any risks.

Martensitic stainless steel
The stainless steel used to manufacture OPINEL knife blades is optimized to guarantee both high corrosion resistance and high mechanical performance.
The knife blade offers excellent sharpness and high abrasion (wear) resistance, allowing it to withstand the usual contact with hard materials, such as ceramics, before requiring re-sharpening. Stainless steel has the advantage of not requiring special maintenance under normal use, unlike carbon steel. However, it can reach its limits when put in prolonged contact with an aggressive environment (acid, salt water, detergent...).
Stainless steel hardness: 55-57 HRC.

The handle
The handle has a sleek silhouette, feels pleasant in the hand and is made of olive wood, the mythical tree of the Mediterranean. Olive wood is a hardwood with a yellow to orange appearance and dense and often twisted grains. It is soft to the touch and has a special luster.

Safety ring
Invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955, the Virobloc safety ring is fitted on all folding knives from the N°06 model onwards. Cut from stainless steel, the Virobloc has two sections, one fixed and one sliding. In addition to locking the blade in the open position (safety in use), it is now possible to lock the blade when it is closed (safety during transport).
