Probe for the K IP65 electronic thermometer with thermocouple (code 488520), produced by de Buyer. This probe is specially designed to help you cook using the sous-vide technique (vacuum cooking).
This cooking method is based on vacuum-sealing food in bags and keeping it in water for an extended time at a constant, relatively low temperature (55°-65°C). Temperature plays a crucial role in cooking ingredients this way.
The probe is 60 mm long with a base diameter of 1.2 mm and a cable length of 100.2 cm. It helps you prepare your sous-vide recipes more easily by closely monitoring the temperature. The probe penetrates the vacuum-sealed bag, allowing you to measure the temperature at which your food is cooking.
The probe can be used between -40 and +110°C. It can also be used in the oven, but the temperature should be maintained around 100°C.
