The Zirlion grinding mechanism of the salt grinder, made from zirconium, is one of the most demanding materials in terms of hardness and durability. The Zirlion mechanism produces an extremely fine salt powder, allowing you to enjoy the taste of salt while at the same time limiting the amount used.

At the top, the grinders feature a grind adjustment knob. Turn clockwise for a finer grind and counterclockwise for a coarser grind.

What type of salt is recommended?

For best results, dry salt with crystals no larger than 6 mm in diameter is recommended, such as rock salt or coarse salt mined from salt deposits. Do not use salt grinders for grinding peppercorn or sea salt, as its moisture may corrode the mechanism.

What type of peppercorn is recommended?

Dry, hard black, white, or green peppercorns with a maximum diameter of approximately 5 mm are recommended. Pink peppercorns may only be used in a blend (maximum 15% pink peppercorns) together with one of the previously mentioned peppercorn types. Dried coriander seeds may also be used in Peugeot peppercorn grinders.
