Utensil with 3 moulds for decorating waffles with different models, Westmark brand.

Materials: utensil made out of stainless steel with screw thread for holding the moulds, handle made out of wood and cast iron moulds.

Instructions for use: To obtain the best results with this special device for preparing waffles, we heat a layer of 7 cm of oil up to 180°C in a deep saucepan or frying pan.
We attache the desired mould in the special handle. We put the mould in the hot oil for 1 min. We remove the mould from the oil and let it drain well, then we introduce it in the composition until the mould is covered up to three quarters of its height.
Caution: if the mould is completely covered with dough, the prepared waffles will be difficult to remove.
We introduce the mould with the composition in the hot oil for 40-60 seconds until the formed waffle becomes golden-yellow. We remove the hot waffle from the mold using a fork.

Recommendation: We fry the waffles twice - after frying them in the first phase, we put them in a bowl and then fry them a little more, once.

Recommendation: grease the moulds with some oil after use to prevent them from rusting.

Warning! Never touch the hot moulds with your hand!

Here we present you some waffle recipes:

Classic waffles
Ingredients: 2 eggs, 3 teaspoons of sugar, 1 small packet of vanilla sugar, 170g white flour, 300 ml of milk.

We beat eggs and vanilla sugar together until smooth. We add flour and milk. The composition must have a creamy consistency. Other flavors can be used instead of vanilla, such as rum, cocoa, or small pieces of chocolate. The fried waffles can be served with cherries, blackberries, honey, whipped cream, ice cream, avocado.

Potato waffles with garlic
Ingredients: 2 medium sized potatoes, 1 clove of garlic, a small onion, a yolk, 100 g white flour, 100-150 ml of milk, salt, pepper.

We scrape the potatoes, then add the garlic and onion to prepare a puree. We mix the beaten egg and flour. We gradually add milk until the composition becomes consistent and then we fry it in oil.

Potato waffles
We repeat the above recipe but without garlic, and season it with a curry powder, walnut, ground pepper or paprika or anything else we want to add.

The waffles with potatoes and garlic as well as those just with potatoes can be served with a variety of meat, fish or sauce products.
