Hybrid pizza oven, "Karu 12" - Ooni

Ooni's Karu 12 oven gives you multiple fuel options for maximum cooking flexibility. Fuelled by wood or charcoal, it heats up quickly and is ready to go in just 15 minutes. It reaches high temperatures of up to 500 °C, cooking authentic pizza baked on stone in just 60 seconds.

The Karu 12 oven is also gas compatible. To expand your fuel options, you can use the Ooni branded gas burner.

Whichever fuel you choose, Karu 12 will help you cook up delicious dishes. The oven preheats quickly and maintains a constant temperature when you add fuel gradually to allow for adequate airflow.

The fuel tray maximises airflow, resulting in a strong flame that allows for fast cooking. The stainless steel body, insulated with ceramic fibre, the 15 mm thick baking stone made from cordierite and patented flame retention device ensure maximum heat retention.

Weighing just 12 kg, the Ooni Karu 12 offers portability, plus all the power and heat of a larger wood-fired oven.

Care instructions:

The Ooni Karu 12 is built to last and can be left outdoors all year round. To protect it from dust and weather, use the specially designed carrying case.

We recommend storing the Ooni Karu 12 indoors when not in use for long periods of time to protect it from adverse weather conditions.

For cleaning, allow the oven to cool down completely (it can take up to 60 minutes, depending on the ambient temperature) and never expose hot components to moisture. You can wipe the inside with a dry paper towel if necessary. When cool, the exterior can be wiped with a damp cloth and dried thoroughly before using a spot or stain remover.

Important

Please note that the Ooni Karu 12 is not compatible with wood pellets – the Ooni Karu 12 is fuelled by wood logs, charcoal, or a gas burner, sold separately.
