On the inside, the pot is provided with a matte black enamel coating produced by Staub through special technologies that offer advantages in cooking techniques such as braising, baking or caramelizing. The oils (fats) used during cooking will penetrate the pores of the matte enamel and create a smooth natural non-stick surface. That is why Staub pots get better and better with the years, as you use them.
The exterior of the pot has at least 2-3 layers of special enamel which, in combination with special cast iron, ensures optimal heat distribution over the entire surface of the pot.
The lid is flat and has small protrusions on the inside, ensuring that moisture is retained inside. Thanks to these features, a "rain" effect is formed inside the pot, which intensifies flavors and facilitates the cooking process.
The special base makes it possible to use Staub cookware on all types of hobs, including induction.
It is not suitable for cleaning in the dishwasher.
