N°10 pocket knife fitted with corkscrew, made of stainless steel, 10 cm long blade, Opinel brand.

The Opinel knife with bottle opener comes with an elegant sheath for protection and transport, both packed in a wooden box. A special gift set for enthusiasts of picnics and other outdoor dining. 

The knife features a 10 cm stainless steel blade, suitable for cutting sausages, cheese and many other foods.
The beech wood handle is fitted with a professional stainless steel corkscrew, with 5 spirals, as well as a steel tip, being useful for opening bottles and hanging the knife.

The knife is also fitted with a Virobloc safety ring.

Martensitic stainless steel
The stainless steel used to manufacture OPINEL knife blades is optimized to guarantee both high corrosion resistance and high mechanical performance.
The knife blade offers excellent sharpness and high abrasion (wear) resistance, allowing it to withstand the usual contact with hard materials, such as ceramics, before requiring re-sharpening. Stainless steel has the advantage of not requiring special maintenance under normal use, unlike carbon steel. However, it can reach its limits when put in prolonged contact with an aggressive environment (acid, salt water, detergent...).
Stainless steel hardness: 55-57 HRC.

The handle
Beech wood is the most commonly used wood for Opinel handles. Originating from France, the Opinel beech wood used is hard, easy to work with and durable. With a homogeneous appearance, its light colour ranges from yellow to pink. It is characterized by the presence of many fine dark lines.

Safety ring
Invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955, the Virobloc safety ring is fitted on all folding knives from the N°06 model onwards. Cut from stainless steel, the Virobloc has two sections, one fixed and one sliding. In addition to locking the blade in the open position (safety in use), it is now possible to lock the blade when it is closed (safety during transport).
