Beyond personal preferences, many cooking techniques and recipes require seasoning with freshly ground salt and peppercorn of a specific coarseness. For example, light sauces or raw vegetable mixes call for a fine grind, while roasts or grilled dishes benefit from a coarser texture. Peugeot now offers the ability to quickly, precisely, and easily select between six predefined grind levels thanks to the patented u'Select system. By simply rotating the ring at the base of the grinder, you instantly obtain the desired coarseness with no risk of error.

All Peugeot salt and peppercorn grinders equipped with the u'Select system feature the same renowned mechanisms that are guaranteed for life. The peppercorn grinders use a hardened stainless steel grinding mechanism with two rows of spiral-shaped teeth that efficiently guide and grind the peppercorns. The first, larger row is designed to crack the peppercorns, while the second ensures a fine and consistent grind.

What type of peppercorn is recommended?

Recommended peppercorns include black, white, or green peppercorns that are dry, hard, and with a maximum diameter of about 5 mm. Pink peppercorns can be used only in a mix (maximum 15% pink peppercorns) with one of the types mentioned above. Dried coriander seeds can also be used in Peugeot peppercorn grinders.
