- The saucepan is coated with matte black enamel on the inside.
- Heat is distributed across the entire surface of the saucepan, which prevents food from burning. 
- Highly resistant to chipping. 

Recommendations:

- To be heated gradually; cooking over moderate heat is recommended as this helps to enhance the flavours. 
- Use oil when cooking - the oil (grease) used during cooking will penetrate the pores of the matte enamel and will create a smooth natural non-stick surface. That is why the more the Staub cookware are used, the better their performance becomes as the years go by.   

The saucepan can be used on all types of cooktops, including induction hobs.
