The two salt and pepper grinders are accompanied by one container filled with black pepper and another one with dry salt crystals, as well as by a duo base.

Both the salt grinder and the pepper grinder work with 6 batteries each (included in the package).

Beyond personal preferences, many cooking techniques or recipes require seasoning with freshly ground salt or pepper of a certain granulation. For example, light sauces or mixtures of raw vegetables require fine granulation, while a coarser granulation is recommended for steaks or grilled dishes. Peugeot now gives the possibility to select quickly, accurately and easily between 6 predefined levels of granulation, thanks to the patented U'Select system. By simply turning the ring at the base of the grinder, you get the desired granulation instantly and riskless.

These salt and pepper grinders equipped with the U'Select system have the same renowned Peugeot mechanisms, which are guaranteed for a lifetime. 

The mechanism of salt grinders is designed to crush salt crystals, being made from stainless steel so it can withstand the corrosion process caused by prolonged exposure to salt.

For the best results, dry salt is recommended, the crystals of which do not exceed 4 mm in diameter, such as the one extracted from the mine or the coarse salt. Do not use salt grinders to grind pepper or sea salt, its moisture can corrode the mechanism.

The pepper grinders are fitted with a hard stainless steel grinding mechanism with two rows of spiral teeth to effectively guide the peppercorns. The first row, larger, is designed to crush the peppercorns and the second row ensures a perfect grind.

Black, white or green peppercorns, dried, hard, with a maximum diameter of about 5 mm are recommended. Pink peppercorns can only be used in a mixture (maximum 15% of pink pepper) with any of the aforementioned types of peppercorns.
