Tray for steak, aluminium, with handles, 53 × 33 cm GN 1/1 – AMT Gastroguss

Grill tray GN 1/1, produced in Germany by AMT Gastroguss, size 53 × 33 cm, height 2 cm, made of aluminium with stainless steel handles, with Lotan® non-stick coating.

All AMT Gastroguss products are made of hand-cast aluminium by skilled craftsmen. Among the advantages of hand-cast aluminium are: longer hardening time, which prevents material stress, a homogeneous casting and less air pockets formed in the material than in mechanized casting.

AMT Gastroguss cookwares have a very thick base up to 9 mm thick. This stores more energy and does not overheat easily. AMT Gastroguss is also renowned for the fact that the base does not deform over time, even when subjected to extreme temperature variations.

The aluminium that underlies Gastroguss products is first sandblasted to increase the adhesion surface of the layers to be applied to it by a factor of 12. The first layer applied to the tray is made of titanium oxide, burnt at 20.000 °C, which is almost as hard as diamond. The next layers applied are: the anti-corrosive layer, the middle layer with ceramic particles and the non-stick surface layer called Lotan®.

This non-stick layer can only be found on AMT Gastroguss cookware, and besides its non-stick properties – which help to clean the cookware easily – it also has an antibacterial effect.

Lotan® non-stick coating offers all the advantages of a classic non-stick coating, but does all this without containing PFOA.

Gastroguss handles withstand temperatures up to 240 °C. So you can cook your food on the grill immediately after cooking it on the hob, without having to change the tray. The ergonomic tray handles were developed with the help of the German National Culinary Team.

The product can be washed in the dishwasher and can be used on all hobs, except induction hobs.
