Professional frying pan - de Buyer brand - diameter 20 cm, height 3.2 cm, made from 2.5-mm thick carbon steel, which does not deform. The frying pan is ideal for frying, browning meat, fish or vegetables.
The frying pan heats up quickly and distributes heat evenly. As it reaches high temperatures, it allows the Maillard reaction to occur. The sloping and rounded Lyonnaise edge allows food to slide easily onto the plate.
With gradual lubricating and heating with oil (seasoning) of the frying pan and frequent use, it develops natural non-stick properties.
The ventilated and riveted tubular handle, made of stainless steel provides an ergonomic grip and stays cool.
Maintenance and use
Before use, preheat the frying pan and add a small amount of fat. Do the seasoning process before the first use.
Degrease, rinse with warm water, dry the pan immediately after washing and lightly grease the surface with 1-2 drops of oil, then wipe the pan again with an absorbent cloth.
Note: As it is used, it is normal for the frying pan to change colour (it will become darker) in an uneven way. This reaction is normal and ensures the development of natural non-stick properties of the carbon steel frying pan.
Tip: Preheat the frying pan using a little fat. Before the first use, treat the frying pan by lubricating and heating with oil (seasoning).
The frying pan is compatible with all types of hobs, including induction.
