Product description
Knife sharpening kit, produced by Zokura. The knife sharpening process is carried out in 3 stages using the included stones with different grits.
The set includes:
- 3 sharpening stones made from corundum, with grits 400, 1000, and 6000, mounted on a prismatic support;
- 2 angle guides for short and long blades;
- 1 tool for correcting the stone, with a diamond-coated surface;
- 1 base for the prismatic support, with accessory storage space.
Before sharpening, submerge the stone support in water for about 5 minutes, then place it in the base on a stable surface.
Step 1 - Coarse grit side (grit 400)
Use the coarse side with grit 400 to sharpen very dull or damaged blades.
Select and properly attach an angle guide to the knife blade depending on your knife’s size.
Hold both the handle and the back of the knife, keeping the ceramic part of the guide in contact with the stone surface to maintain a fixed blade angle, then move the blade back and forth across the stone with light pressure.
In general, knives should be sharpened every 6 months, depending on use.
Step 2 - Medium grit side (grit 1000)
This stage is used to remove any burrs resulting from coarse sharpening in the first step or for daily sharpening and maintenance.
Step 3 - Fine grit side (grit 6000)
This step is used for honing the edge after each use of the medium grit stone.
Flattening the stone with the diamond rectifier accessory:
If the stone has an uneven surface, use the diamond rectifier accessory to level it.
After sharpening, rinse the knife with clean water and dry it.
Sharpening stone maintenance:
Clean the sharpening stones with a soft brush and let them dry completely, then place the stones, guides, and diamond rectifier tool in their designated spaces in the base.
Store the set in a dry place, away from moisture.
For optimal knife sharpening, please use the entire surface of the stones.
