N°02 "Tradition Inox" keychain knife N°02, with stainless steel blade and beech wood handle, Opinel brand.

The N°02 keychain knife is the smallest OPINEL folding knife.

Smart and practical, it accompanies you everywhere and is great for small tasks such as opening letters, unpacking or cutting paper.

Martensitic stainless steel
The stainless steel used in the manufacture of OPINEL blades is optimized to guarantee both high resistance to corrosion and high mechanical performance.
The blade offers excellent sharpness and high resistance to abrasion (wear), which allows it to withstand the normal contact with hard materials, such as ceramics, before requiring resharpening. Stainless steel has the advantage of not needing special maintenance under normal conditions of use, unlike carbon steel. However, it can reach its limits when it is put in prolonged contact with an aggressive environment (acid, salt water, detergent...).
Stainless steel hardness: 55-57 HRC.

Yatagan blade
The classic Opinel blade has adopted a Yatagan shape. The Yatagan shape is inspired by a traditional Turkish sword, with the tip pointing slightly upwards. The blade is polished to an exclusive convex profile, which ensures blade strength and allows for efficient resharpening.

The handle
Beech wood is the most commonly used wood for Opinel handles. Originating from France, the beech wood is hard, durable and easy to carve. With a homogeneous appearance, its light colour ranges from yellow to pink. It is characterized by the presence of many fine dark lines.
