Peugeot now offers the ability to quickly, precisely, and easily select from 6 predefined levels of coarseness thanks to the patented u'Select system. By simply turning the ring at the base of the grinder, you can instantly and without any risk achieve the desired coarseness.

In the case of salt and peppercorn grinders equipped with the u'Select system, the same renowned Peugeot mechanisms are present, guaranteed for life. The pepper grinders, for example, use a hard stainless steel grinding mechanism with two rows of spiral-shaped teeth to efficiently guide the peppercorns. The first row, larger in size, is designed to crush the peppercorns, while the second row ensures a perfect grind.

What type of salt is recommended?

For the best results, this grinder is recommended to be used with dry salt, with crystals of maximum 4 mm in diameter, such as the salt extracted from mines or coarse salt. Do not use salt grinders to mince pepper, to grind sea salt or wet salt, as its moisture might corrode the mechanism.

What type of peppercorns is recommended?

Black, white or green peppercorns, dried, hard, with a maximum diameter of about 5 mm, are recommended. Pink peppercorns can only be used in a mix (maximum 15% of pink pepper) with any of the above-mentioned types of peppercorns. Also, dried coriander seeds can also be used in the Peugeot pepper grinders.
