The N°10 corkscrew bottle opener is a versatile knife that is always handy at picnics and other meals served outdoors.

The knife features a 10 cm stainless steel blade suitable for slicing sausages, cheese and many other foods, as well as a sturdy beech wood handle.
The handle is fitted with a professional stainless steel corkscrew with 5 spirals, as well as a steel end, useful for opening bottles and hanging the knife.

The knife also includes a Virobloc safety ring.

Martensitic stainless steel
The stainless steel used to manufacture OPINEL knife blades is optimized to guarantee both high corrosion resistance and high mechanical performance.
The knife blade offers excellent sharpness and high abrasion (wear) resistance, allowing it to withstand the usual contact with hard materials such as ceramics before requiring resharpening. Stainless steel has the advantage of not requiring special maintenance under normal use, unlike carbon steel. However, it can reach its limits when put in prolonged contact with an aggressive environment (acid, salt water, detergent...).

Stainless steel hardness: 55-57 HRC.

The handle
Beech wood is the most commonly used wood for Opinel handles. Originating from France, Opinel beech wood is hard, durable and easy to carve. With a homogeneous appearance, its light colour ranges from yellow to pink. It is characterized by the presence of many fine dark lines.

Safety ring
Invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955, the Virobloc safety ring is fitted on all foldable knives from the N°06 model onwards. Cut from stainless steel, Virobloc has two sections, one fixed and one sliding. In addition to locking the blade in the open position (safety in use), it is now possible to lock the blade when it is closed (safety during transport).
