BRITA Classic filter cartridge reduces built up of limescale and other substances, such as chlorine, which alter the taste and odor of your tap water.

Moreover, the filter cartridge reduces some heavy metals (such as copper and lead) and some pesticides (eg diuron).

Organic impurities are also reduced.

The result is a cleaner, clearer water with a special taste, suitable for drinking, preparing hot or cold drinks and delicious food.

Note: These filters are only suitable for BRITA Classic filtering mugs, which have been out of production since 2012. "Classic" filters are still sold only to help customers who still have the Classic mugs provided with filter. All the newer filtering mugs use the MAXTRA filter.
