The filtering jug consists of:

- glass container, total capacity 2.5 L, filtering capacity 1.5 L;
- special filter funnel, made of BPA-free plastic;
- 1 filter cartridge, type MAXTRA PRO Pure Performance, with which you can filter approximately 150 L of tap water;
- protective silicone sleeve;
- BPA-free plastic lid with SMART LED indicator for filter cartridge replacement.

The BRITA Limited Edition (Anniversary) glass jug includes a protective silicone sleeve that protects the glass and also reduces noise.

The filtering jug made of borosilicate glass is scratch-resistant, shock-resistant, and very lightweight.

Sustainable: 60% recycled glass and 100% bioplastic material* from renewable sources, certified by the globally recognized ISCC PLUS label.

Hygienic: Borosilicate glass does not absorb odors and does not discolor. All components (except the BRITA Smart Light LED) can be cleaned in the dishwasher at a maximum temperature of 50°C.

Easy to use: The lid can be opened with one hand.

Practical: Equipped with a removable silicone sealing ring for optimal cleaning.

Filter replacement indicator

The filtering jug is equipped with a SMART LIGHT LED warning system for filter replacement, positioned on the lid. The BRITA Smart Light LED will notify you in time when the filter needs to be replaced (based on time and the amount of filtered water).

Replacing the MAXTRA PRO filter cartridge

We recommend replacing the MAXTRA PRO cartridge every 4 weeks or after 150 L of filtered water. After the recommended period, detach the lid of the filtering jug, carefully remove the funnel, then take out the cartridge.

MAXTRA PRO technology

The filtering jug is equipped with one BRITA MAXTRA PRO cartridge, an improved version of the original MAXTRA+.

Less chlorine in water: enjoy better-tasting water, as well as coffee and tea with full flavor.

Less limescale: protects kettles and coffee machines from limescale buildup, extending the lifespan of appliances.

MAXTRA PRO is an economical and sustainable alternative to bottled water, as the cartridges are 100% recyclable. Return MAXTRA PRO cartridges to any KitchenShop store and they will be sent directly to BRITA headquarters in Germany for recycling.

How does the water purification process actually work?

Simple! Through a relatively fast but thorough process, using the 4 core components of the MAXTRA PRO cartridge.

1. The first mesh prevents coarse particles from entering;
2. Micro carbon granules derived from coconut shells reduce chlorine and other organic substances that may affect taste and odor;
3. Ion-exchange resin retains metals such as copper and lead and reduces limescale buildup;
4. For final filtration, water passes through a fine mesh that captures even the smallest unwanted particles, being 4 times more efficient compared to MAXTRA+.
Water is ready to drink.

BRITA filters are designed to be used only for filtering tap water (note: if the water is regularly tested and declared potable) or water from private suppliers that has been declared potable.
