Set of 3 MAXTRA PRO Hard Water Expert filters, individual filtering capacity 150 l, produced by BRITA.

The BRITA MAXTRA PRO Hard Water Expert filter cartridge can be used with all existing BRITA filter jugs, as well as with the Flow water dispenser.

One MAXTRA PRO cartridge filters approximately 150 l of tap water* (the quantity will depend on the level of water hardness, as well as on its quality).

The MAXTRA PRO Hard Water Expert filter reduces limescale 50% more effectively compared to the MAXTRA PRO Pure Performance filter. Ideal for regions with hard and very hard water.

Less limescale: protects the kettle and coffee machine against limescale deposits and thus extends the lifespan of household appliances.

Less chlorine in the water: enjoy the good taste of water and coffee and tea with full flavours.

Fewer metals: reduces lead, copper and other substances that affect the taste of the water.

Sustainable: manufactured in Germany from 50% bioplastic material from renewable sources, certified by the globally recognised ISCC PLUS label.

For a consumption of 2 l of water per day per person and to achieve optimal results every time, we recommend replacing the MAXTRA PRO Hard Water Expert cartridge every 4 weeks or after filtering 150 l of water. After the recommended period has expired, remove the lid of the filter jug, carefully take out the funnel, then, holding the cartridge on both sides, pull it upwards.

How does the water filtration process work?

Simple! Through a relatively fast process (in approx. 1 minute), but by no means superficial, thanks to the 4 basic components of the MAXTRA PRO cartridge.

1. The first sieve prevents coarse particles from entering;
2. The micro-granules of carbon derived from coconut shells reduce chlorine and other organic substances that may affect the taste and smell of the beverage;
3. The ion exchange resin retains metals such as copper and lead and reduces limescale deposits.
4. For a final filtration, the water passes through a final sieve that retains even the finest unwanted particles, being 4 times more efficient compared to MAXTRA+, making it ideal for older pipe systems.

The water is ready to be consumed.

All MAXTRA PRO cartridges are equipped with Microflow filtration technology, the result of 5 years of research in the BRITA laboratories in Germany.

Recycling MAXTRA PRO filters

MAXTRA PRO is the economical and sustainable alternative to bottled water, as the cartridges are 100% recyclable. Return your MAXTRA PRO cartridges to any KitchenShop store and we will send them directly to the BRITA facility in Germany to be recycled.

Proof of the effectiveness of MAXTRA PRO cartridges

The entire filtration process, as well as the quality of BRITA products, are tested both in the company's own laboratories and by organisations such as the renowned TÜV SÜD, which has certified that BRITA products comply with European standards in the food industry.
