Filter jug, made of glass, BRITA brand, consisting of:

- glass container, total capacity 2.5 l, filtered water capacity 1.5 l;
- special funnel for filter, made from BPA-free plastic;
- 1 filter cartridge, MAXTRA PRO Pure Performance type, with which you can filter about 150 l of tap water;
- BPA-free plastic lid, with SMART LED type indicator for changing the filter cartridge.

The filter jug made of borosilicate glass is resistant to scratches, shocks and is very lightweight.

Sustainable: 60% recycled glass and 100% bioplastic* material from renewable sources, certified by the globally renowned ISCC PLUS label.

Hygienic: Borosilicate glass does not absorb odours and does not discolour. All components (excepting for BRITA Smart Light LED) can be cleaned in the dishwasher at a maximum temperature of 50°C.

Easy to use: The lid can be opened with one hand.

Practical product: The filter jug features a removable silicone sealing ring for optimal cleaning.

Cartridge change indicator

The filter jug is provided with a warning system for changing the SMART LIGHT LED type cartridge, placed on the cover. The BRITA Smart Light LED will indicate in due time when you need to replace the filter (depending on the time and the amount of filtered water).

MAXTRA PRO filter cartridge replacement

We recommend replacing the MAXTRA PRO cartridge every 4 weeks or 150 l of filtered water. After the recommended time has expired, remove the filter jug lid, carefully remove the funnel, then, remove the cartridge.

MAXTRA PRO technology

The filter jug is fitted with 1 BRITA MAXTRA PRO filter cartridge, an improved version of the previous MAXTRA+ version.

Less chlorine in water: enjoy great tasting water and full-flavoured coffee and tea.

Less limescale: protects your kettle and coffee maker against limescale deposits and thus prolongs the lifespan of your household appliances.

Fewer impurities: the MAXTRA PRO PURE PERFORMANCE filter filters impurities and residues of certain herbicides, pesticides and pharmaceuticals**.

All MAXTRA PRO cartridges are equipped with Microflow filter technology, the result of 5 years of research in BRITA laboratories in Germany.

How does water filtering process actually work?

In a simple way! Through a relatively rapid process, but not superficial at all, thanks to the four basic components of the MAXTRA PRO cartridge.

The first sieve prevents coarse particles from entering the cartridge;
Carbon micro-granules resulting from coconut reduce chlorine and other organic substances that can affect taste and smell of the drink;
The ion-exchange resin retains metals such as copper and lead and reduces limescale deposits.
For a final filtration, water passes through a final sieve that retains even the finest unwanted particles, being 4 times more efficient than MAXTRA+.

Water is ready to be consumed.

BRITA filters were designed to be used only for filtering tap water (note: if water is checked regularly and was declared drinkable) or for filtering water that comes from private suppliers and was declared drinkable.
